C-17 Flight Simulator Facility
Aircrew learn from those with former experience. They’re learning from instructors who have been pilots for decades and honed their skills on the C-17 Globemaster. Our instructors have the training and expertise from hours of flight time and are passionate about sharing that knowledge to the next generation of aircrew.

The project supports the 145th Airlift Wing's journey to convert from the C-130 Hercules to the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. The simulator is a state-of-the-art replica of a C-17 Globemaster III cockpit, that pilots can use to train without requiring the use of an actual aircraft. The project includes construction of an 11,500 SF structure with a two-story high bay in which to house the flight simulator, briefing rooms, administrative areas for training and support staff, equipment and maintenance rooms, storage spaces, and communications room supporting simulator operations.
