He stated that "The primary downfall of most small businesses in today's construction industry isn't access to capital, it's the inability to say no to an opportunity that you can't cash-flow". Griggs went on to say "Banks will lend to businesses who can prove that their business model works. They are not looking to become an equity partner in your business. Banks have one purpose, similar to yours, and that's to make a profit on the dollar they lend you".
